Why Wayne & Pam’s Performance Bicycles?

The simple answer is pride and passion. We take pride in everything we do and are passionate about cycling. Since opening our shop in 1985 we’ve believed that anything worth doing is worth doing correctly. When we take money for work or product we want to be sure our customers have received good value for their hard-earned dollars.

Our approach has been, and will continue to be, to offer information that helps to educate our customer allowing them to make choices based on knowledge gained. By always listening, we can help find the right answers to satisfy your needs. We do not believe in overselling (talking our customers into more than they need) but can satisfy pretty much any cyclist’s desires.

We remain active in the cycling community. We were instrumental, with the help of many others, in forming SIMBS (South Island Mountain Bike Society) with Wayne being the first president and Pamela doing most of the work, which led in time to the formation of the Mount Work/Hartland multi-use mountain bike park; a fine feather in the CRD’s cap. We participated in the Victoria Commonwealth Games in support capacity and have been avid supporters of the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition and the successful Bike to Work Week program. Pam worked for many years on the Saanich Bicycle Advisory Committee which helped lead to many cycling infrastructure improvements in the community. We have sponsored and organized races including the first sanctioned Vancouver Island mountain bike race, the Monster Mash, and continue to support local races or programs that we feel promote wellness in people, especially the young.

We hope you’ll visit to experience what dealing with experienced people who care is really like – and please, never ever forget: young or old, cyclists can save the world.
